URO Parts 7L0 820 021Q Heater Blower Motor The blower motor from URO Parts/APA Industries in Simi Valley, CA fits my 2006 Volkswagen Touareg perfectly. Delivery was also MUCH faster than that promised. The part seems identical to the OEM part that I just removed. Maybe performance of my 10 year old original blower was diminishing over time so I didn't notice. The new blower is a solid improvement. Works better than new from my perspective. I can't remember my Touareg AC working so well. Removal of my old blower and installation of this one took about 90 minutes. Removal was fast. Alignment of the new part following the alignment grooves took a bot more skill. I was wondering what was up on my first installation attempt and one of the top uppermost two screw holes were not in alignment. I thought, oh well, "replacement part." But the error was mine. I pulled out the motor and paid more attention to lining up the grooves. PERFECT FIT!I highly recommend you lay a big cooler near your open Touareg passenger-side door. Lay on it to support your back. Makes the job A LOT easier. The blower performance is very strong and as quiet if not quieter than my old blower. The part from URO came VERY WELL packaged with very high quality foam inserts to protect the part during shipping. I was very impressed and would buy more URO parts. This saved a ton of money over the dealer-quoted unit.At this time I also ordered and installed a new Mann Cabin Filter for $18 and change also found on Amazon. It's very much identical to the Porsche filter that was in the car ... and this was original to 2006 as well. Man! Was it crapped up with debris and dust. Really thick. I'll bet I was losing at least 10%-20% of cooling and air movement efficiency ... but then again, until my old blower stopped blowing and started tooting like a sad oboe, I didn't even know my car had a cabin air filter. It's impregnated with activated charcoal to absorb chemical pollutants. Worth the money as well. Thanks URO. I am completely impressed.
