Product Description

This is an upgraded IQ 2020 Heater Relay Board with jumpers & shortened screws for the front cover of the IQ2020. When part was upgraded, it went from three relays to two.Replaces the 74618 as of 9-10-2013What is included: NewUpgraded IQ 2020 Heater Relay Board w/ Jumpers & Shortened Screws for the front cover of the IQ2020Description: New(New as of 9-10-2013) This IQ2020 Heater Relay Circuit Board is the newest revision for the 2001-2009.5 IQ2020 Control Box. It's upgraded design provides a more efficient method of connecting the heater's power cord to this board therefore reducing fatigue on the two "beefed up"relays. The black wire from the heater's power cord now connects into the H1 position on the large gray terminal block. The heater's white wire (neutral) connects onto its own separate gray terminal block labeled H2. This will reduce stress on the relays and increase their lifespan due to better transfer of voltage. The ground wire connection remains the same. The incoming power wires and the black & white wire from the heater are inserted into the gray terminal blocks round holes by prying the gate open using a small screwdriver. This upgraded circuit board replaces the 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation boards in the IQ 2020 Control Box found in all 2001-2009.5 Hot Spring, 2001-2009 Tiger River and 2008-2009 Limelight spa models. Symptoms this part has failed: No power going to the heater even though the red HTR ON L.E.D. light is lit inside the IQ2020 control box. The heater board is charred on the front and/or the backside.Note: In older control boxes, you may encounter that a chip on this new heater relay board prevents the metal guard from seating properly and it may need to be trimmed. Arrived on time and worked as expected. Installation was made easy by following on line available videos. No need for a technician to charge 500 to replace thisQuick deliver, good installation instructions and easy to installMy spa temp would not go above 94° and it's usually at 104°.My heater relay board had one burnt relay, that's why it was still partially heating.Take pictures before uninstalling the old one so you get the wires right, the instructions probably won't help that much.Install was fairly easy for people with some knowledge of electrical work. Also, be aware that a lot of times the pressure switch could be the cause of the heater relay to go bad. So, for about $20 order a new pressure switch (also on Amazon) while you're at it.DON'T FORGET TO TURN OFF THE POWER TO YOUR SPA BEFORE YOU START WORKING ON IT.Works greatGreat upgrade from older heater. Seems like older board always burnt up at relay where electrical connection was. New board has that relay removed. Hot connection now is a terminal. Stays a lot cooler, works well. Nice upgrade.Hot tub stopped heating, did some trouble shooting and googling and determined it was most likely this board that malfunctioned. I removed the old board from the spa control panel, easily done, and examined it closely. I found a couple scorch marks near one of the relays, just as I'd read online would be likely, and ordered the new panel from Amazon immediately. The new panel arrived the next day, took about 30 minutes to install (I took my time, wanted to make sure I didn't make any mistakes and fry my new control board, could easily be done more quickly), and it immediately started heating again, back up to 101F from 77F in only a few hours. Well worth the money and a huge savings over calling in a technician.Just what I needed
