I have a tiny room so I love the tall structure. This is my first techy heater, I've always had the one you flip on and have to shut off before bed. So I geeked out when I saw it came with a timer feature. I can go to bed and not worry that I'm gonna burn down the house or that my room will get cold as I toss and turn.if you keep the intake clean, it blows well.i keep a small paintbrush handy to brush it out.only wish it would blow more near the floor.good value for the price paid tho.This is a very nice heater, and it does it's job really well. I use it to heat part of my home (approx. 800 sqft), as I said it does the job very nicely, however... The unit's fan never shuts down. I use the temperature control at 70*, and when the unit gets the room to that temperature, the heat shuts down, but the fan continues to stay on which then just blows cold air. I've tried all the controls and referenced the manual, but can't find anything to indicate I'm doing anything wrong. The heater is near a large chair I use for reading, and when I'd like to maintain my warmth, I get hit with cold air when the heat goes off.. this is very frustrating and why I can't give the unit 5 stars, and possible 4 is being too generous. Every other heater I've ever used like this has always turned the fan off after the heat got up to temperature.. plus I can't imagine that the fan being on constantly is good for the fan, I feel that it's going to wear out prematurely.This is a pretty good heater. I just wish it had auto shutdown when it reaches temperature. Instead the fan runs till it cools offI purchased this unit for a very large master bedroom. The way the central heating operates in our home, our large bedroom is much cooler than the smaller rooms for our teens. If I was to set the bedroom zone for a level that was comfortable for me, their rooms would be much too hot .. thus the need for a separate heater.The unit is attractive, quiet, and has nice features, such as a timer and variable temperature. Honestly, it is not heating my room quite as much as I would like, but that is probably due to the very large dimensions of the room, which also has extremely high ceilings. For a more "normal" room, it probably works perfectly.I am thinking about buying a second unit. That is because I really do like the design and features .. enough to want to just add on greater heating capacity. This is a good product.Bought this heater for emergency use only, with the bad freeze we all just went through, I'm trying to be a little more prepared, hopefully I will never unbox box it. Well I did break it out and run it for a few minutes, just to make sure it worked and it work ok.The fire glow is pretty cool, so hopefully if I ever need it, it will work fine.A phenomenal concept so poorly executed, I can not even rationalize keeping it. Where do I begin...First off, when you open the box to find pieces and a bag of screws, with NO assembly instructions, that should be your first clue trouble looms. As you go through the Instruction manual that does come with it, and see things like "operating" spelled "operationg", or sentences worded "Why does the heater is releasing.." and "Why we cannot adjust temperature when we under...", you know this is going to be just another cheap piece of Chinese junk. And low and behold...it is!Product description and instruction manual continually refer to the "ECO mode", however there is no "ECO mode" identified on the unit itself, but rather "auto"...meaning you use the thermostat to set your desired temperature. Both the product description and the instruction manual then go on to say that in this mode, when the room reaches the set temperature, the "fan will release cool air to protect the motor and keep the thermostat (cool)...shutting off after 30 seconds." (the word "cool" is missing from the instruction manual also :) ) Turns out, the fan never shuts off...it runs constantly. What sense does it make to run the heater to warm up the room, only to have the fan stay on constantly to cool the room back down????? Unbelievable!!!As for the heat output itself....extremely, extremely poor. I ran mine in the "high heat" mode...it took forever to heat up a very small bedroom space (approx 96 square feet). I have a small ceramic style heater (the same heating element design as this one) that is about 9"x9", made by Pelonis, that puts out twice as much heat as this one when it is in the "low heat" mode!!I should have read the reviews a little closer before I ordered this unit. The same shortcomings in the product design and execution are also noted in numerous other reviews. How Amazon can show this as having "4 stars" is beyond me. This unit is, as mentioned before, nothing but Chinese junk. I will be returning mine as soon as the more reputable branded heating unit I ordered arrives.This is more for a 45 degree or above day, not a 30's or below day, unless you have a really small room (I guess)
