I bought two kits, one for my Tiger cub scout and one for me. - Axle kerfs are straight and parallel, but a little wide. - Wheel axle holes loose-fit, caused a lot of drift, and wheels were a little ob-round. Also not technically BSA sanctioned, fine for my car, but would have been an issue if we had run better. - A small ding at the end of the second run caused my son's axles to become so loose that they wouldn't stay in with just the weight of the car, causing it to slide on the rail and fall off. We did not have any way to secure the axles, so he came in last in most races after the ding (a fellow cub's car jumped the rail and smashed into the rear wheels, knocking them out). He was a solid second place through the first five races.Pros: Good wedge, substantial enough for a kid to not hurt it much while sanding, yet soft enough to make sanding easy. Great car for a tiger or wolf cub, or a parent/sibling.Cons: Axle kerfs were a bit wide: plan on gluing the axles. If you're competing in a sanctioned event that could go to district or state levels, you will need to purchase official axles and wheels. The quality of the wood and wheels is not as good as a Pinewood derby racer. Not a bad solution and everything works, but the lower price is indicative of a lower quality.Worked great, I made a great car, I mean the kid made a great looking car with the wedge.fast delivery, accurate description, good product & great price
